P2 at 24pN
Hi,
I’ve just been reading about the 24pN recording format that allows 40 mins of material to fit on a P2 16 gig card. I’m reasonably new to P2 technology and have been used them on a few recent jobs that seem to fit the workflow but the limited recording time stops me from using them more widely. I’ve struggled to find much info out about this format, does it use the same DVCProHD codec or is this a lower res option to get the extra time out? Any info would be appreciated!

It’s the same quality- just less redundant frames, hence more storage.
