February 21, 2007 at 8:14 pmNot quite sure what you mean? You can play out projects to P2 from FCP for example. But if it’s DV25 there’s not much point in putting it onto P2- use the tape deck.

February 25, 2007 at 4:31 pmNo my plan was to play the footage out of the camera to a Firestore. I have had prolems capturing footage to the firestore useing the quicktime native capture with both the QT and QT 24p.
I am shooting 24pn dv25 to tape and firestore at the same time. The firestore deals with the p2 format better the QT capture. however I discovered this after the 6th dat and 17th tape. There are stobie lines like feilds are reversed whenever I play back the QT files in FCP, however the p2 converted stuff looks great and plays back correctly. I was going to play the messed up tapes back into the firestore to record p2 format. I am shooting a behind the scenes video for a mexican cooking show advertisment and the client wants all the footage on harddrive. The don’t want to pay me to digitize the footage after the 22 day shoot. However thank you for your information.
