Does anyone know if there’s an adapter that enables the Macbook Pro to take P2 cards like the old Powerbook used to?

    This seems crazy!

Haven’t seen one yet but supposedly someone is making one someday.

Yes and it’s made by Panasonic. It’s the 5 card P2 reader. Be prepared to spend some dough.

Check this Duel Systems’ link. This is not released yet, but will adapt PCMCIA to ExpressCard.

The duel systems card adapter is in beta testing and is rumored to run about $119.00

Current options for an MBP would be:
    1) use the camera itself as a card reader
    2) use a P2 Store; the slot on the P2 Store is a pass-thru slot for the MBP (or other computer)
    3) Use the PCD-20 five-slot reader

Soon the duel-systems adapter should be out (but we’ve been saying “soon” for quite a while…)
