I work at an advertising agency that does radio commercials. My boss is making the switch to a digial system, and is using Audition for his productions. To import music, he is ripping the music off of his CDs, so there is no overmodulation issues there. However, when he records his voice/narration into audition, it is extremely overmodulated on the track to which he records it. Oddly enough, the audio levels shown at the bottom of the screen in Audition, don’t show any overmodulation (he is safely in the yellow and not peaking out). Is there an option in Audition somewhere that makes the recorded track match the audio level of the microphone going into the computer as it is shown in Audition at the bottom of the screen? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
