    Overlaying multiple shots

    I’ve seen it in a few films/programmes. If I want a locked off shot with multiple versions of the same character walking around in the shot (fully opaque not transparent) how would I go about doing that? Is it using masks or is there an easier way considering I will want the character to overlap.

    Hi Phill,
    If you want that the character overlap him self or you shoot with a blue-screen or rotoscope.
    Plan well the shooting.

    Unless you want a ghost-type effect (use a blend mode), a rough mask around the character should be sufficient. Depending on your shot, a simple crop might be sufficient.
