    Overlay workflow

    Hi, I’ve been editing with the “Overlay” button pretty much on all the time. For me, quick to make audio adjustments, and also for fades/dissolves of picture. Setting nodes is pretty quick.

    I’m wondering if leaving it active all the time is a mistake. Does leaving the “Overlay” mode all the time affect performance?

    I always edit that way too Steven, and no, theres no performance hit. Keep it on if thats the way you prefer it.
