June 10, 2014 at 9:56 amJust drag your audio track from the project pane into your composition and it will appear. After effects doesn’t work like Video editing software where you can have multiple clips on one track. Each clip creates has it’s own layer.

June 10, 2014 at 2:00 pmYou shouldn’t use AE to edit your video. AE is not a video editing program. Edit in Premiere and then import your Premiere project into After Effects for doing effects, compositing, graphics, and color grading.
And, when you’re ready to use AE, PLEASE go through the resources Todd linked you to. If you don’t, you will be completely frustrated.
