Kind of complicated question but I will make it as concise as possible. I am trying to set up a conversation with myself as 4 different people (nutty professor sort of style Same person in 4 different places one stationary shot).

Here is a link to a brief test that I did with a friend…

As long as there is no interaction between the multiple people I am good. I am just doing a mask and it works fine. However if I wanted person 4 to walk in front of persons 1, 2, & 3… I can’t figure out an easy way to do it without masking out frame by frame or by doing a green screen… The main draw back to the green screen is actually allowing him to interact with the environment in a believable way and the different lighting variances. I think there is a way to do this by using parent child composite… I am trying to get “testimage2.jpg” to work effectively over the top of “testimage.jpg” without rotoscoping…

Any creative ideas WOULD BE GREATLY WELCOMED… I hope this makes since.

    Thanks in advance…

Because, those are pretty much what you’d have to do.

Have a look at the Two Cats From One tutorial from Matthew Chaboud of Sony.
I’m sure you’ll get some ideas from it.
