    Hi,

Can someone pls advise if FCP is able to allow me to overlay/composite two videos into one? similar to the cloning effect but because my subject are crossing all over, thus i wonder if im able to combine these 2 clips as one? one is the background of people painting and the other is people walking from right to left of the screen. hope someone will be able to enlighten me on this… Thanks!

You have 99 tracks of video to use in FCP.
Put one video on track one.
Put second video over top of it on track two. Adjust opacity.

You can adjust the composting settings to achieve different looks.

Did you shoot some green screen?

If you want to make the two clips one then you need to do Nesting. Here is a link to a FCP video tutorial on Nesting and more.

If you want to blend them together then right click on the top clip and choose Composite Mode from the drop down menu. Then choose one of the blending effects.

I’m not sure if this is what you are after?
