Hi, I’m trying to overlap two clips that each contain 8 mono audio tracks. I drop my main clip onto the sequence (as V1), I see all 8 tracks beneath (A1 to A8). Next I drop the second clip on the timeline as V2 and drag it back over the first clip. The video works as I wanted, i.e. as the higher layer sequence overrides V1. However the Audio tracks from A2 seem to replace those on V1. To get around this I delete (on the timeline) the audio tracks of V2 and I get what I’m after, but it seems like an awkward way to do it – is there a proper way?

Right click on the 2nd clip in the project bin and choose modify-audio and set the number of tracks to 0. Now that clip will only import as video. You can change it back anytime.
