When performing an edit on a audio track, such as music, is it possible to see both waveforms on a clip? Meaning, if both clips are on the same track, is it possible to see where the outgoing clip and incoming clip overlap? You could do this in Soundtrack Pro and it made trimming music tracks much easier being able to view both clips waveforms so you can match waveforms where they meet and make crossfading easier.

Currently in Audition CS6, when clips overlap they are opaque. Is there a way to make them transparent or lower their opacity for uses described above?

Not that I can find. I remember having that feature on another audio editor I used some years ago (not Soundtrack Pro). Now I’m just used to zooming in and visually matching the clips on separate tracks then moving it up.
