I just read the manual and still have a question about overcranking shots that will be intercut with varicam footage for eventual downconvert in an FCP timeline (all to be edited in FCP 5)

do I want to be shooting at 720P30 or 720P 30PN?

    thanks

I cant wait to shoot my first spot with the cam. It will be intersting to see how it intercuts with varicam footage. ANy suggested settings (ie detail) for best match with varicam?

If you intend to be streaming the footage out the firewire port, use 720/30P. If you’re shooting to the P2 cards and ingesting the cards into an edit system, use 720/30PN.
