Outputting a XDCAM Seq to an SD Letterbox Quicktime
I tried nesting my XDCAM sequence into a 720×486 ProRes(HQ) sequence and this did the leterboxing great but the image looks pretty bad. I tried exporting out an XDCAM self contained movie and importing that into the SD sequence with the sam results.
I am trying to figure the settings in Compressor to achieve the same letterboxed 720×486 results but can not get it to letterbox and maintain the proper aspect. Everything just looks squished. -

Set “render all YUV material in High Precision” and “Render Motion Effects: BEST”.
This should helps with the downscaling.
