Output to various aspect ratios – bad pixel shift
I’m making an educational film, which must be rendered out into various delivery formats: Square-pixel (Internet), HDV (PAL), DVD (PAL).
The project is set to 1920×1080, 50p. It containes plenty of animated text labels and PSD drawings with fine lines, layered over video tracks.
PROBLEM: when I render out to anything other than square-pixel, the text layers and PSDs come out badly blurred and shifted against one another and to the video (text even more to the left than graphics). The picture looks un-alined and is no good.
The only workaround for me now is to render out into 720p first, and then to use it as a source to render all the interlaced versions. I can’t use the 1080p as intermediate, because the template is 24p, and I’ll have to interpolate back to 25 fps, I’ll lose sound sync on video.
Anyway, I’m getting a visible generation loss and worktime loss, and it’s a shame. Is there a way to set the project so that it will render without graphic layers shift to ANY standard pixel ratio?
