Output to PAL ?
Just installed FCP Studio (I’m a newbie to FCP) and already find myself having to quote a project to be taped in the states NTSC? but output at 16×9 PAL for UK use.
If I record HDV and edit that in FCP STUDIO – can I output it as PAL ? I’m thinking the answer is easy – should be no problem – but thought I’d better check.

Yes – absolutely nothing. Sorry I can’t be more helpful if you have the same question I had. From all I’m reading – haven’t had time to test – I should be able to do this. I’ve also read I will get better quality shooting PAL to start with. But here’s another question -this is for online tv in Europe. Do we need PAL at all?
