Output Raw R3D Files from Resolve?!
I imported a AAF into Resolve, everything relinked just fine but I need to output the RAW R3D files to give to my VFX team. There is no option for that in the output menu. I don’t want to give them the entire file when we just need a specific section. Is there a way to export clips out of Resolve in native raw r3d files??
Any assistance in this matter is appreciated! THANKS!!

You can trim the original r3d raw files. Check out the manual.
No post system renders raw, it’s a camera format. For vfx, give them the trimmed originals or dpx or exr.

I would actually give something like Peter suggested.
EXR with compression is trendy so to say.
I just have run in to trouble with post house when they gave us back
VFX that was done on R3D directly as there are options how you use
red. red color3, film gamma etc.You will have much more control if you give them the material on
gama you like or use.Just mind the resolution they ask.
