  • Output only 4 channels of audio via SDI?

Odd question, but is there any way to hobble the output of a Decklink Card to output only 4 channels of audio? I have a client who has to output to another encoding system which has been known to destroy the audio if there are more than 4 channels present. I don’t believe it is enough to just mute the additional 4 channels. There needs to be only 4 channels of embedded audio on the SDI output.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

Nevermind. The client qualified the issue with their encoders. As long as the additional 4 channels are muted, the encoder will not crash. It is only when it is presented with 8 embedded channels that all have signal that the whole thing goes bum up.
