Hi,

Here are the screen shots. Part one and two of the comp (how it’s supposed to look) And Part one and two of the output with the strange distortion.

I’m also including a snapshot of my work area for reference.

You can see in the output that the words are skewed/slanted strangely.

AE always renders the active camera. Are you perhaps working in a custom view [link] in your comp viewer?

I WAS in a custom view which displayed the type straight.

But then I put it back to “active camera” and it looked skewed like the output.

So I turned off 3d and it straightened out the font but then I lost my x y rotation animations.

The client hated it anyway so it’s back to the canvas.

I’m very new working with cameras and find working in 3D very confusing. I wish there were a tutorial like “After Effects – working in 3D space for Dummies.” If someone produced a book or video like that they would make a ton of money. I know a lot of people who work in After Effects and don’t understand the cameras either.

Maybe I’ll have better luck next time.
