Running Mac Pro with Kona 3 (4.0) and Final Cut 6.0.5. Shot footage with XDCAM and imported via firewire (1440×1080 XDCAM HD). When I put it in my timeline, the image that is played out my Kona to my display looks lie blue snow. No useable image.

    Kona set to HD 1080i29.97

    Any ideas?

there are no video outputs enabled when you set to capture via FW.

you need to re-set your settings to output to via the kona at your frame rate.

The issue is when playing from my timeline. When I add clips to my timeline and play the timeline, my preview monitors are nothing but blue snow noise.

What easy setup are you using?

    Like I said.
when you capture over FW -there is no video out-

Did you bother to change the seq settings or easy set up to allow for the video to play outvia the card or were you lazy and just assumed that it does not work?

if you capture over FW you have to change the Video out settings to achieve playback via the kona card.
