I’m a producer of 20-years, but have no experience with HD.

I am creating a photo montage video in FCP. It will be shown at a wedding reception playing through the hotel’s 2000 lumen Sharp projector. The current plan is to play the video directly from the FCP timeline on my 17″ MacBook Pro.

Wanting to create the highest quality output, I am toying around with the idea of creating it in HD. Because I do not have a projector myself to test the output, I am nervous about choosing the correct format options… and will the 16:9 frame even playback properly? Or, am I just shooting myself in the foot?

For someone who has done this before, what do you think? What sequence settings would you suggest? Frame size? Codec?

    Thanks in advance?

    Bob,

You’ll have to get more info about the capabilities of the projector. Without knowing its native output its really impossible to hazard a guess about what’s best for you. So, come back with the specs…

BTW, you can display superb quality stills off a SD DVD through a decent projector.
