  output filename gets shortened when exporting from after effects

  hey forum,

  i have a particular issue when i add compositions from after effects to the media encoder queue. compositions that contain a period ( ” . ” ) have a shortened name in the media encoder.
  for example let’s say i have a composition called “History of Dr. Strangelove” in after effects. when i add this comp to the media encoder queue the output file name gets shortened to “History of Dr” . Is there any way you can change that behaviour?
  i need to have the output file to have exact same name as my comp since i batch process the output file further. i looked through the preferences in media encoder with no luck. maybe some of you guys might know something.
