  • Output codec for CS6?

I’m very new to Resolve (coming to it from ScratchLAB) and am just getting the system up and running. Just in the testing/shakedown phase right now and looking at what file type to output for use with the Adobe CS6 suite.

When using ScratchLAB I’d output DNxHD QT’s and they’ve been the best balance between file size and quality. From Resolve I’ve rendered out a number of DNxHD MXF’s but they all give a “generic error” when trying to load them into PremiereCS6. H.264 and uncompressed QT’s work like a charm but the file size associated with uncompressed QT makes me look for another option.

Are the DNxHD MXF’s suitable for Avid only? Any suggestions on getting a DNxHD file out of Resolve that will work with CS6?

    FYI
    Win 7/64 Pro
    Dual Xeon X5650
    48Gb RAM
    1x Quadro 4000
    2x GTX 590

    Cheers!
