    I’m pretty sure the answer to the following question is going to be “Use Automated Duck”, but I wanted to double check with the guru’s.

    I have a producer asking me to give him an EDL to re-edit a segment we did for another show that they produce.
    His quote is …
    “A mixed down version of the piece that aired won’t help, we’ll need to get into the raw elements. An EDL from the Final Cut session, output for Avid would be the best.”

    I don’t see an option to do this in Final Cut, but I just want to make sure I’m not missing something.

    A cmx-3600 .edl should work, though some have mentioned issues.

    if it’s just straight cuts and dissolves it should work though.

    if they want access to everything without a recapture automatic duck is the answer.

    how about going the other way, from Avid to FCP? Same 3600 list?
