    Hi,

    I am filling a text layer with video below it on the timeline. I have the video layer track matte selected as ‘alpha’, showing the video through the text. I’m trying to put an outline around the text to make it stand out. I imagine it’s very simple, and I’ve tried all sorts of things and can’t get it to work.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    If it’s only a few words or times you need to do this, I’d just duplicate the text layer and switch the fill off and turn the stroke on.

    If it’s going to be a lot of text layers, I would probably come up with a precomp-text scheme, so that I only have to change one layer in the precomp and have it ripple into my final comps.

    Duplicating the text and turning the stroke on worked. Problem solved.
