Activity Forums Maxon Cinema 4D Outline shader

    I’m new at C4d so…. I’m looking for a tutorial or free shader that will outline the edges of simple geometry. I’ve seen the sketch and toon. It looks great but i don’t have the cash and i would settle for something more primitive.

    maybe take a look at the cel renderer under post effects of the effects tab of render settings. it’s limited but i think it’s standard and will give you outlines of objects and matte colors if that”s what you need.

    I did it and it works, however i can’t find any line thickness attribute.

    There’s no line thickness parameter for the cel renderer — it’s very basic.

    Instead, try using the fresnel shader in the color channel.
