Out of the blue FCP takes forever to load…
Out of the blue, FCP now takes a good long time to load every time I launch it. It edits fine, deals with projects fine, but suddenly takes forever to launch. I haven’t updated anything lately, haven’t installed anything lately, I trashed prefs, repaired permissions, cleared cache files, restarted, and it’s behaving the same! Any ideas?

I’ll give it a shot! Er, I hate to display my utter ignorance, but what do I do to do this?

restart, hold apple-option-p-r and let the restart gong chime 2 more times (keep holding that key combo through it all). Once you hear the third chime, let go and the computer will start.
