out of sync footage
Posted by Mirela Bogdan on June 27, 2009 at 10:05 amHi,
The footage I’ve been importing lately is always out of sync (get message about it once I finish importing stuff). How can I fix this? and how can I make sure it does not happen again.
thanks
Mirela

Please give your full system specifications, what computer, what drives, what camera or deck, how everything’s connected, what settings are on the media, what settings you’re using in Final Cut, and finally what version of the software, of the OS, and of QuickTime you are using.
All the best,
Tom

June 28, 2009 at 10:27 amHi Tom,
Thanks for your reply. Regarding the system I have etc… I own an iMac (24″ /3.06GHZ/2GB/500GB/SD/AP/BT) and Final Cut Express 4. The camera I use is a Panasonic NV-GS180EB (2.3 mega pixel) (still picture recording). I’ve imported footage before using a firewire cable and never had any issues with the sync, and I do not remember making any changes to the settings on my camera or FCE. I was wondering if there is a way I can fix things without having to re-import footage… Still learning my way around FC as I did a short course on it last year..
