Hi, I really hope you can help because I am now really fed up with an issue I am having with Premiere Pro CS4.

I run a Windows 7 Laptop and the footage I am editing is captured using a Canon 7D with external audio devices, a boom mic attached to a Zoom H4N and a Lapel mic into a Zoom H1N

When I watch my films back 0n Premiere, regardelss of length and size, the audio drifts out of synce as I preview them. If I stop the film and start again, it reverts back to being in sync. Recently I have noticed that when exporting to H.264 1080p HD the audio is drifting still, the longer the piece, the worse it gets over time.

I am editing in the HDTV 1080p 25fps preset on Premiere Pro with an audio rate of 48KHz. I noticed that the Zoom H4n had recorded the files at 44.1KHz and I wondered if that could be an issue and if it is fixable?

I have read a lot of threads online about this issue and not one has seemed to offer a failsafe and simple fix to this incredibly annoying, time consuming and now potentially financially impactive problem.

    Please help! 🙁

Might be worth mentioning as well, I capture the video files via a card reader and then convert them using Cineform…
