    Hi,

    I rather new to AE.

I try to give some volume to a composition with extruding, depth of field … Enabling Ray-traced 3D I got this :

“After Effects error: Ray-traced 3D: Out of paged mapped memory for ray tracer. Your project may exceed card limits. Try closing other applications. Try updating the CUDA driver.”

My card is a MSI using a NVIDIA GTX 1060 6gb.

My computer is 2 weeks old with new drivers (I am pretty sure which means … not so sure …).

    Any idea, or advice ?

    Thanks !

BTW, when I look at project settings > video rendering > use

… I have Mercury GPU Acceleration (CUDA) …

I’d suggest using the “CINEMA 4D” renderer instead of the deprecated “Ray-traced 3D” renderer.

    Thanks Walter !

    That’s what I finally did.

… but I was interested in depth of field effects and I heard that it is not possible with C4D …

As I said, I am a beginner, so forgive me if I am 1000 times wrong … ☺

    Have a nice day.
