I am currently working in a project with file sizes that do not go over 2GB combined, however, I am getting two messages from my finder when I try to load a sequence: 1. General Error 2. Error: Out of memory
I am not sure what I am supposed to do about this. I have much bigger HD projects I work on and I haven’t gotten this message before. DO I need to free up my RAM some how and if so how would I go about doing that?

I have 2GB of AM on my mac pro; do I need to get 2 more?

    David

Please do a search posts for this topic – you will find a number of previous threads starting with your exact question. The answer has nothing to do with your RAM. Restore your project to a previous autosaved version and continue….

Ok thank you; I’ll definitely do a search from now on first because like you say many people have had the same kinds of problems already.
