    Hi guys…

Hope you can help me with some weird Out of Memory problems…

    I’m editing a internet trailer for Volvo…
Now I got some screencapture, captured with Snapz Pro X, H264 1051×702.
Sequence settings are Prores 1024×576 none

During the project, in some moment I wasn’t able to open the clips in the viewer.
Out of Memory Warning. Then I could drag and drop the file in the Timeline, Render there, View in timeline…. Make cuts and drag them in the right place in the edit.. (to annoying and time consuming)

I tried to convert the clips to Prores 1051×702.. and Uncompressed …..Photo JPEG and still Out of Memory warning. or a no codec found warning.

    Delete the prefs…. same issues
Copy everything to a new project…. same issues

Copied whole project to another computer same issues…

The strange thing is … sometimes it opens the clip in the Viewer… but when I try to play the clip it gives the warning..

Other times I can open it and play it in the viewer but then when I make an in or out point it gives the warning…

Other times I can make in and out points but not put it in the Timeline

But most of the times I can’t open it in viewer or anything

I never ever had problems editing prores in different sizes (like 1051×702)

    Anyone

That isn’t a frame size that FCP is designed to edit. Look at the presets..those are the codecs and frame sizes. 1920×1080…1280×720…not 1051×702. If you use screen capture software, it is best to set the screen dimensions as close to those sizes as possible, then capture at those dimensions exactly. Then FCP won’t have any problems.

    Hi Shane…

    Thanks for your reply…

I know it’s not a standard size… but I never before had any problems editing shots in a timeline with
strange sizes… Just needed to render and Voila…

    Now no go..
