Hello everyone, and thanks for being here. My companyhas just perchaseed a new Mac pro, with 1 gig, of Ram, and a 2ghz, porcessor. everytime I try to open my project nothing opens except for the clps, and sequences window. if I try to open them FCP gives me a out of memory window. It opens fine, when its opened on my powerbook, or a Dual 1.8ghz, G5 with 2gigs ram.I called apple with the problem, they told me to open the project with a system that can, change the project name, and export the project as a XML, I tryed this and nothing happend just the same thing out of memory, I dont know what to do. Does anuone have any ideas. Thanks Mark Dershowitz

I have seen this bug many times in FCP. The solution is to right click and choose the first command “Open Timeline”.
    That will fix the problem.

    Mark,

1 gig of RAM is certainly not enough to run FCP. Is that your only problem? I can’t answer that, but ultimately you will have to up the RAM.
