  Other (worse) results on older computer??

  I was working on a project on my trusted MacPro. Took the project home to do some tweaks there. When I open the same project on my old (2011) Macbook Pro I see different results when rendering. In this case it’s the directional blur effect that is jagged on my MacBook Pro but smooth on the MacPro.
  It’s not just a preview thing, it’s in the render too. Settings on both machines are identical.
  Attached are two screenshots of the two renders. I will render the project on the MacPro, so in the end there is no problem, but I don’t understand how hardware can make such a difference. Maybe it has always been there and I never noticed, but is there anything I can do about this? Apart from the obvious ‘buy a new laptop’…
