OT – What commercial was this?
Does anyone here remember a recent commercial (for an oil company, I think) that used a floating, swirling red scarf as a motif to transition between scenes. It was nicely done and I have been hoping to take another look at it. Does anyone remember the company? Or any other guidance for finding where it might be viewable?

I haven’t seen the commercial, but I want to say I’ve seen a transition like what you’re describing. It’s included with DVD Studio on the Mac, and it ‘s used as a transition between menus or timelines in a DVD project. I imagine with some digging on a Mac with DVD Studio installed, you could find the actual resource file (probably an .MOV) and repurpose it. But, I bet you’re looking for a much simpler solution!

It’s actually not the scarf transitions that I was interested in — although I did like that. There are some other edits in the piece that were well done and I wanted to study a bit how they shot then.
