OT: Tickets on sale for FCPUG SuperMeet at Macworld
Just a reminder for those of you who have been asleep during the holidays.
Tickets are available for the Sixth Annual MWSF FCPUG Network Supermeet. This January 10th event takes place during the MacWorld Conference and Expo 2007 in San Francisco, CA. This much-anticipated event is hosted by Final Cut Pro User Groups from Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Mexico, United Kingdom and more.
Hollywood filmmakers will share their stories and discuss their tapeless Final Cut Pro workflow. Scheduled to appear is Associate Editor Sean Cullen, who is currently working with legendary film editor Walter Murch on Francis Coppola’s new film, “Youth Without Youth.” Edited with Apple’s Final Cut Pro and shot using the Sony HDC F950 HD Cam, this film marks the first time that Murch and Coppola are going “filmless.” Sean will share details of their tapeless Final Cut Pro workflow with attendees. Also on the agenda is Angus Wall, who just completed editing “Zodiac” for director David Fincher. Edited using Final Cut Pro, this film was shot using the Grass Valley Viper Film Stream camera. Angus and tech consultant Andreas Wacker will discuss their all-tapeless workflow. In addition, San Francisco’s own Alex Lindsay from the Pixel Corps will briefly discuss the production of Macbreak and other podcasts including distributing, editing and compositing around the world. Rounding out the evening is an assortment of product demos, a special appearance by Apple personnel and World Famous Raffle valued at over $39,000.
Tickets are only $10.00 per person and include two raffle tickets. Food and a cash bar will be available throughout the evening. This event always sells out, so buy your tickets now. You can purchase tickets online at:
