OT: Parallels Desktop or VMWare Fusion?
Slightly off topic, but I am wondering specifically for running Photoshop and/or After Effects. Anyone have any personal experience and thoughts on whether to go with Parallels Desktop or VMWare Fusion? From what I understand, Fusion has just been released, and so all the bugs might not actually be sorted out yet. On the other hand, I’ve heard that in terms of actual performance, Fusion is already a better option.
Obviously if I was going to be doing any intense work on Photoshop, After Effects, Adobe Encore DVD (until I get up to speed with DVD Studio Pro, I know Encore pretty well) or any other intense Windows program, I’d use Boot Camp. But as far as having one of the two virtualization programs booting on startup and running for day-to-day Windows apps, could I get some thoughts on which everyone prefers?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts,
CoryPS, anyone know of any recent links with benchmarks of a head-to-head between these two?
