I’ve been running a pair of KRK Rokit 5’s through a Mackie 1202-VLZ3 for the passed 6 months or so and am thoroughly impressed.
It would be nice to have the $$ to throw down on some gelelecs, but at about $300 a pair, the KRK’s are great. Exceeded my expectations for sure.
And I understand they have recently released generation 2 of the same speaker at the same price-point. I haven’t compared the gen1’s I have to the gen2’s, but they claim improvements over the previous generation. I however prefer the look of the gen1’s

I am currently enjoying a set of BlueSky EXO monitors.

This is a company that does really really hi end stuff now making affordable systems for the average user. My first set of from them set me back over $6K and that was the most affordable I could get.

The EXO models I have in my current suite now retail for about $300. Stereo only but very very nice.

XLR, Mini and Phono jack inputs, with Subwoofer and 2 satellites, I compare them quite favorably to my Genelec’s at about 1/4 the price.

Mackie HR824 MK2 in our 2 suites here and in the 5.1 surround mixing room.

Very powerful and well worth the cost.

I’ve had good luck with the JBL LSR25P.

They are a little deficient in bass (there is a large model, 28P I think), but they seem dead on accurate, and I even found the schematics online, and they sell all parts, so I can keep them going easily (likely only the potentiometer will ever need replacing).

Coupled with a sub, these do the job.

Third vote for KRK’s I have the Rokit5s on my G5 and also the V4s on my laptop setup, fantastic for the price. BTW the new models are even better, same price.

A very good Audio house here also uses them.

    Have a wonderful day.
