    Hey,

I’ve searched throughout the forum and on the internet and have either come across possibly outdated information (a post from 2002 isn’t necessarily correct in 2006) or differing answers (‘yes, you can do it with this and this’, or ‘no, you need a dedicated piece of hardware’); so I’m asking here where I trust people 🙂

In 2006, is it possible to install 2 or more dvd burners into a PC and burn the same files/image to both burners at the same time, essentially doubling your output? If so, what are the requirements of the computer/motherboard, the drives, and the burning software? I would like to hear people’s experiences.

    Take care,

    Nick

I don’t know about requirements, but I have a CD burner and an external CD/DVD burner, and I can burn to 2 CD’s at once with Roxio Creator…etc.

Can;t do it with DVD’s because only one can burn to DVD’s. I suspect it could.

In ROxio, I just have to check off both drives.

On the other hand – now that I think about it, I don’t know if it’s doing them both at once or one after the other – I usually step away from the machine for a break…

You can easily have multiple burners if you have a proper burning software like Nero, but they should all be of the same make or at least from the same manufacturer.

    Hey,

Thank you both for your replies. I am using Deep Burner as my burning app (my favorite burning program, it’s so small and efficient) and I have two Pioneer burners, one is 8x, the other is 16x, I’m going to toss them both into a machine and see if I can get it working.

    Take care,

    Nick
