It is a really tough decision, isn’t the iPhone about the same price of the new FCP upgrade?

    Which one should I get???

    Walter,

Did you see the same commercial I just saw? I never thought I’d be interested in an IPhone, but I was wrong…

Not knowing anything about your editing or your phone usage, but the iphone is certainly a bigger upgrade to MY phone than studio 2 is to studio. I’m getting both, but if I had to pick one, it’d be the phone by a mile.

Nope, but I’m not interested in a $499 – $599 phone right now. My Razr works just fine for the moment. I’m thinking let other folks buy the very first gen of them, work out the kinks, then maybe get one next year.

I agree, I also have a Razr and I’m not interested in spending the money on the iPhone, but when you see how cool the interface works in this TV commercial it gonna knock your socks off.

Apparantly, the latest phones have a feature whereby I can talk into my phone, and someone else on another phone many miles away, can not only hear me but talk back to me, too!
    And its all in realtime.

Seriously, its time we (they) came up with a new name for these things.
This current generation of young people are being brought up on a device that has so many uses and features; the least used of which is the ability to talk to other people.

Don’t laugh – you’ll probably be able to edit on the thing, soon.

‘Telephones’ are rapidly becoming a thing of the past, as the revolution continues.

    Mind boggling stuff, indeed.

Anyway, gotta go stoke some more coal . . .

    Neil.

I saw the iphone ad you refer to while working in a TV truck Sunday with some fairly media jaded folks.

We were just as fascinated by the interface as you, David.

Wow. I’ll wait a year to buy as well, but now I can’t wait to go play with one!
