OT: Internal Hard Drives?
Hi, I’m kinda new to macintosh computers and i want to buy and install (i can do that part) a new internal hard drive. The question is what kind of hard drive do i need? Are they different from like a regular PC. What’s a good brand…that stuff. Sorry it’s so off topic from FCP, but yea, thanks

G4s require ATA drives. IDE drives come in the ATA configuration, just make sure that when you buy one, is says ATA.
G5s require SATA drives.
