    David,

    The composer of that song was actually Vangelis.
    I still remember buying the soundtrack from “Year of Living Dangerously” that strangely did not include my favorite song in the whole movie, also written by Vangelis. I guess the producers of that album didn’t pay Vangelis his copyright fees!

    BTW, seeing that old MAC clip also reminds me of the messianic cult brought about (as you can hear from the screams of the audience faithful) the regrettable tunnel-vision cult of the MacIntosh faithful, which unfortunately still lives on today.
