We just got and FSI monitor and I want to turn off the audio volume on the monitor. System Status is locked out. I can’t find or recall how I unlock this. I have one of the ethernet looking dohicky things to do this.

It’s not a menu option – just dial down the volume control with the knob.

Oh…so that’s what they mean by putting “volume” on a volume knob. Ok, I get the moron of the day award.

No worries – the first time I did laybacks in the suite with the FSI, I was going crazy trying to figure out why my audio sounded so weird. Out-of-phase and a little echoey. Only took me a few minutes to realize that the FSI was playing audio in addition to my monitors. Nice feature, but totally unexpected.

If your monitor was purchased after June of 2009 (or you have updated to any firmware version 9.06 or later if purchased before June of 09) You can also press down on the volume knob to instantly mute or un-mute the audio.
