I’ve had a lot of work come from Craigslist.

[Scott Davis] “What sites are you freelancers using to look for work? If any?”

If I need a freelancer, the first thing I do is ask around other editors and producers I trust for referrals. If I can’t find someone I need, I’ve actually posted “Help Wanted” calls here on the Cow in the Job Forum and have found some very good local editors that way too.

website called editorsnet.net that I used to frequent when I was doing more shopping around for work.

So basically the ones I’m already looking at. All my jobs have been from referalsand have never gotten a job off one of them so I was thinking there might be better ones.

Typically production companies hire people they know. If that resource is tapped out, they ask everyone they know if they can recommend editors for the job. That usually fills the job. Barring that, THEN they go to Mandy.com or Craigslist.
