OT DSR 11
An associate of mine is switching to Final Cut Studio from a Legacy Media100. He’s looking for an inexpensive DVCAM deck to feed to and from FCP. Does the DSR 11 work well with FCP? I Recently used an old DSR-30 which had surprisingly slow shuttle speeds (when compared to the DSR1500/1800 etc.) Anybody know how fast the DSR 11 shuttles? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I think the 11 shuttles about as fast as the 30. I guess they’ve gotta give you something for all that extra money for the 1800 and 1500!
They should all work fine with Final Cut, though.

My DSR-11 is so rock solid with FCP… it’s a bargain I think. Has been working now for about 5 years…
