    Hi,

Sorry for the off-topic but just want to check if any of you have any experience with the mouse disappearing and the only way to get it back is to do a hard reboot ?

I read somewhere that connecting to the Cinema Display USB port can sometimes cause this to happen…any truth in that ?

This is a G5 dual 2.7Ghz and an Apple Cinema Display (LCD model) and the keyboard is connected to the Cinema Display and the mouse connected to the keyboard.

I’d try connecting it to a powered USB port on the CPU directly…

As Jerry said. Occasionally it may disappear even when plugged into the USB port on CPU, but all you have to do is unplug and then replug, which apprently resets the USB bus. Replugging does not seem to rest the bus when plugged in through another device like a keyboard or monitor.
