I am using a Pinnacle DC1000 card with Adobe Premiere 6.5 and Windows 2000.
Pinnacle has discontinued this card and all support for it. I’m hoping I can post this here and maybe find someone who can solve my problem.

I have been using this card for four years without a problem. Today, all of a sudden, the firewire port no longer functions. It does not output video to my camcorder. It cannot see the video my camcorder is sending out, and I cannot enable device control. I have tried two different camcorders (both of which have always worked fine), replaced the cable and deleted the .prefs file. Nothing seems to work. I am in a bit of a panic right now. Does anyone have any suggestions for what else I can try? Does anyone have a DC1000 that they might be willing to sell?

    Thanks!

    Hooray! Nevermind.

As a last ditch effort to try *something*, I pulled the card from the computer, and then put it back in. Miraculously, everything works fine now. Thanks for reading this, none the less.
