OT: Cool Features on the Sony SRW-5800 HDCAM SR

Hey Gary,
I finally talked to Sony about pricing. The price you mentioned is for the 5500. Here’s what they said:

Due to weak of USD, list price of each VTR raised 3%.
SRW-5500 $126K (VTR $101K, Format Converter $10K, D-Beta Playback $5K, RGB444 $10K)

SRW-5800 $104K (VTR $72K, Format Converter $10K, D-Beta/HDCAM Playback $6K, RGB444HQ $16K). Additionally the Network/Data option will be available in September with $18K.
