I have a client who wants to use a piece of commercial music in a series of TV commercials for his mayoral re-election campaign.
In the past we have always used buy-out production music, so this is new territory for us.
Could someone direct me to the people who license this type of pop commercial music?
We need to find out if this is going to be cost prohibitive.
    Thank You.

Go over to the Business and Marketing Forum and search Steve Wargo’s posts, he often mentions a company that does this full time and are able to maek it cost effective if at all possible. If you try to license popular tunes on your own you’ll find only heartbreak and disapointment.
