    Hey,

At work we have an Epson R200 printer which allows us to print directly onto printable cd-r’s. The printer came bundled with a printing app called Epson Print CD. It works just fine and we love the prints it makes, but the software appears to only be available on the cd bundled with the printer itself…I’m finding myself quite a ways from work now wanting to use the printer thinking that the software would be available from the Epson website, but alas my assumptions have left me with a useless printer and the daunting task of printing a ton of discs when I get to work on Monday morning.

    1. Does anyone know if the software is available online somewhere? Maybe it’s hidden deep in the depths of the Epson site? I’ve searched and searched and even left them an email, but nothing yet.
    2. Are there other softwares which will allow me to print to the R200 that takes out the guesswork in lining up the print with the disc? I really don’t feel like spening potential hours trying to figure out how the thing works if there is something out there which will do it for me. Maybe something simple like an Illustrator template?

    Take care,

    Nick

No, the software is not available for free download, but if you contact customer support they normally send you a link where you can downlaod it or attach it directly. Otherwise your printer works from any other app – it’s just difficult to align it with your CD/ DVD and you have to define the non-printable areas yourself with white overlays.

    Hey,

Thanks for the info. Loks like I’m going to spend a bit of time making an illustrator template to prevent this from happening again!

    Take care,

    Nick
