SVP has been a wonderful forum! I hope to see you all on, eh, Adobe??

How does one download or capture reasonably high quality YouTube videos (for inclusion in documentaries, etc.)?

Thanks to all, and I guess I will try Adobe???

I’ve tried a few different ones but the easiest method is to put “ss” (without the quotes) in front of youtube in the URL.
    For example: https://www.ssyoutube.com/etc
Doing this sends you to another page that gives you a 720p download button.

Best way is to contact the poster, and have them provide you with terms of use, or obtain written permission to use the footage.

They may also provide you with better than YouTube quality video to include in your work.

If the footage is not marked GPL, then the poster did not intend it to be used beyond the agreed upon terms with YouTube.
